I feel like the only time I let myself sit and update this blog is when it is pouring outside. I have no idea why I do this, but… there it is.
Let’s see. What have I been up to since our last check-in…
Well, a big chunk of that time was split between Spring Break and another Abbey emergency. Well, it turned out to be less emergency and more… emotionally exhausting. The area where her tumor was recently removed developed a lump that started bleeding. I naturally thought that the tumor had already returned and that we’d have to put her down. A vet trip discovered that it was actually a blood vessel clamp that had come loose and become infected. After the vet removed it and drained the area, some antibiotics cleared it all up. It seemed to be the cause of her vast tummy troubles we’d been experiencing, too, but I won’t go into all that. You can imagine. She’s back to her silly self.
We hamster-sat for our neighbor for a few days over spring break, and… well, it was me, so… this happened.
A friend commissioned me to create something with the pressed pennies her family has collected over the years of travel to Disney and other places. The main section are all the Disney pennies, and the border is everything else.
And finally, I wore actual clothes (as opposed to black leggings) to a dance showcase of a friend of Harlow’s. That’s newsworthy, right?
On the agenda are:
- Getting our leaking roof fixed (already on the books)
- Scheduling summer camps and activities for Harlow
- Taking down all the remaining wallpaper borders that I’ve been ignoring for 9 years
- Yard work that I am currently avoiding (but it’s raining, so… not my fault)
- Getting back to creating – Barbie stuff, and other stuff. I’m just unfocused and not sure where to start
Oh! That reminds me of one other thing that MIGHT be coming up. A friend is trying to get me to do a craft show this summer, so I am going to be attending an informational meeting with her next weekend. After I had finished texting with her about her invitation, I got this email and it was… interesting timing, to say the least…
I guess The Universe has spoken, so I should probably do it, right?
